PrimaSelect Luvocom 3F PEEK 9581 - 1.75mm - 500g - Natural

SELECT Luvocom 3F 9581 PEEK (Polyeander Eander Ketone) is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic that is one of the most widely used high-performance plastics in the world. It is used to manufacture parts for the aerospace, gas, oil, medical and automotive industries.

PEEK is most commonly used to replace various polymer and metal components in cars, machines and airplanes. Thanks to its very high heat and chemical resistance, PEEK can be used in many areas where metal components are normally used. It can maintain its properties at high service temperatures over long periods of time. PEEK is also used in the medical field as it is perfect for the production of customized prosthetic parts such as arms, hands and cranial implants.

For a long time PEEK was one of the most difficult materials to print, but after much research an additive was introduced and PEEK Luvocom 9581 was launched. This new additive has changed the way PEEK can be used as it now works better with FDM printers. The SELECT Peek never comes into contact with water during the manufacturing process and is packed directly into vacuum-sealed bags. This and the additive creates a PEEK filament with excellent layer adhesion, which of course significantly improves impact resistance, durability and strength and also makes the printing process much easier than with conventional PEEK.

There are a few things to consider for successful PEEK printing. The printer must have the power for the PEEK filament and it should be printed with a nozzle temperature of 360 - 400°C. The heating bed should be set to 120°C and a heated chamber is important. It is also very important that the printer is located in a room where there are hardly any draughts and temperature fluctuations. PEEK is best printed on a PEI plate at a printing speed of 15-30 mm/s.
