These high quality forked photoelectric switches are perfect for use as limit switches or reference switches on 3D printers, build-your-own mills or CNC machines, and other projects. Optical limit switches have no wear and are more accurate than mechanical limit switches, making them ideal for the Z-axis of 3D printers. Also, unlike most mechanical limit switches, the connecting cables do not need to be soldered, they are simply connected to the PCB board.
These optical limit switches are RepRap compatible and use a 0.5mm beam, a little narrower than the 0.8mm HB102 beams. They have the standard mounting holes spaced 24mm apart. The connecting cables are about 50cm long and have 3-pin female connectors.
