Advanc3D threaded inserts have a special spiral contour to ensure the best grip. Made of high quality brass, the inserts have excellent thermal conductivity as well as corrosion resistance.
Thread size | Ø D1 | Ø D2 | Ø D3 | L (+1 mm) |
M3*3 | 4.5 mm | 3.9 mm | 4.0 mm | 3.0 mm |
M3'6 | 4.5 mm | 3.9 mm | 4.0 mm | 6.0 mm |
M4*4 | 5.9 mm | 5.4 mm | 6.4 mm | 4.0 mm |
M5*6 | 7.0 mm | 6.3 mm | 8.0 mm | 6.0 mm |
The dimensions D3 and L refer to the model in which the threaded inserts are inserted.
The assembly is done in four simple steps:
- Position the thread insert in the hole of the component
- Heat the thread insert (ideally to the hot-end temperature of the filament)
- Slide the threaded insert into the predicted hole
- Allow the part to cool to ensure final strength
A soldering iron is required to assemble the threaded inserts.
