A small steel filament drive with really sharp teeth. They are carefully manufactured on a synchronized CNC process that gives a sharp, even and clean cut tooth profile with incredible grip.
These have been tested with 1.75mm and 3mm filaments, from soft and flexible materials to hard materials. All with great results. This is a functional equivalent to the traditional tap screw of yesteryear, but instead of using a questionable M8 quality screw as the starting material, these are made from high quality stainless steel. The double-sided threading means that locknuts are used instead of the screw head, allowing the position of the hob drive area to be adjustable.
Fantastic for the classic gear extruder. M8 threads on both ends with a maximum diameter of 8 mm for easy passage through a bearing with an inner diameter of 8 mm.
Note that Hobb-Goblin products are not compatible with the newer Titan and Titan Aero.
